handbrake question
Need a little bit of help please people.I had a new set of rear bearings fitted a few weeks ago and since then the bite point of the handbrake is really high and it some times feels like it won't hold the car on a hill.So the qustion is can i go to a garage and have it tightend or is it a case of worn rear pads/discs that need to be replaced. sorry if it's a bit of a dumb question but i'm not that mechanicaly minded.

The handbrake operates the drums - so I would guess that the garage needs to adjust this only.
I'm sure that there will be plenty of others to offer their advise soon.

Have you got a newage or a classic.
My dad has a newage 03WRX and it holds the car on the 7/8 notch which is according to the manual and the Subaru dealer. I think for some reason, you can't have it too tight?

In the back plate for the brake disc ther'e is a rubber bung, you remove it and you should see a slotted nut .you then turn the nut with a screwdriver until the brake locks up then slacken it off until you can turn the wheel.
