Can anyone in the Preston, Lancashire, area help. When starting from cold, the engine fires, but revs its NUTS off between 2000 and 3000 revs. I have had this problem before and it was something to do with the computer. A Subaru dealer in Preston fixed it in 5 minutes but now there are no dealers anywhere within 40 miles. Does anyone know of an independent dealer who could help? As a cold engine revving at 3000 revs is not very good!!

I would be very grateful for any help.
