Give GradeA at Hayfield, High Peak, a ring. I bought a "kit" off them 18 months ago, consisting of rear screen with hole, rear wiper motor, arm and blade, rear washer bottle, pump and associated piping, and a set of BOTH steering column stalks, of which I used the one with the rear wash/wipe switch on it.

Total cost of kit was £200.

A mate removed my old screen and fitted the "new" one. and I did the rest, took me about three hours all in including making up a loom for the wiring.

Due to global warming, it's always hot and sunny. Why would you need a rear wiper?

Cos we drive faster than the japanese, so our extra speed clears the rear screen - fact!

I don't think it's anything to do with the rear seat belts. Classic UK models only had a middle lap belt too, but still didn't have the wiper.

My JDM STi has it too, and at this time of year I'm using it every day and would certainly miss it if I bought a UK model again.
My WRX ra doesn't have it fitted, because it's the ra model. Less weight.

I hate not having a rear wiper. Good to hear someone has done the conversion.

It was a sore point for me when I got my uk turbo but I honestly don't miss it now, you can still see out the back even when it's peeing down. Maybe it's cos I'm going so fast

I've had 2 UK classics with rear wipe as standard

The Uk classic I have now doesn't have a rear wipe, TBH it's the only thing that I miss from a JDM car.

Its says to leave it on to dry, then wipe it off. But there is no noticeable residue to wipe off. I'll give it another go.
