evo mag looking for RB5
Hi,
We're looking for a nice, standard RB5 with the PPP to feature in the next issue of evo. There would be some road driving involved but no performance testing or track work. We would insure the car. We'll also pay for fuel, food and accommodation, and you'd get a nice set of prints of the car after the feature's been published. The story is happening next Monday and Tuesday (Dec 11 and 12) on Exmoor.
If you've ever fancied seeing your pride and joy immortalised in print, please drop me a line at petert@evo.co.uk
Many thanks,
Peter Tomalin

Indeed Peter Tomalin no less whom I remember from the heady days of Performance Car. If you read this Peter two questions was the run up the strip in the Westfield Seight as nerve racking as you described? What was Jeremy Clarkson like in them days?
P.s Is the love for the Mk2 Jag still there?

Damn, wish I'd kept my RB5 now! Was standard and PPP'd! Oh how I miss it! []
Not quite got all issues of Evo, but I do have 1 and 99 and most in between! []
Keep up the good work back at Evo towers - just one request though... please stop pretending that the Porsche 911/997 is a NEW car!

Have every issue of EVO. Best motoring magazine there is.
Subscriber now. Thankfully, I got in before they started printing the Subscriber only covers.
Every month I look forward to the new edition in my mail box.
Keep up the good work.

I've got a bog standard RB5 with PPP and cosmetically in good nick... Also the webmaster of the RB5 owners club...
But I can't drive to Exmoor and miss two work days... I've got a RB320 to pay for in March.
Maybe arrange a weekend and you can have #255 in the magazine.

Standard fogs were off for that Worcesterball Run 2006 meeting being refurbed. They are now sitting in the garage awaiting a 5 minute swap over should be needed. However, in the winter it's easier to keep STi cover clean, as round pegs in square holes are a nightmare to get your Microfibre cloth in.
The black "wedges" were a massive mistake! Regretted it from the first second I put them on the car. Orange replacements were ordered, but again, sitting in the garage ready for the swap.
As everyone in the RB5oc will confirm my RB5 is as standard as can be.
