Default I drove at 80mph in traffic queue, apparently.

Third time it's done it. Sitting in a queue of traffic at 0 mph and the speedo decides it wants to quickly flick up to 80mph and then back again. 0-80-0 in 0.75 secs - impressive eh

I suspect that it's a minor malfunction of the "sweeping dials" feature my JDM STi has at startup. No big deal I guess.

Makes me wonder what it'll be like when they introduce these satellite traffic charging boxes, at 800mph you wont be on the road for long getting to work - could work out to be quite a cheap for the daily commute

Phew!

I was starting to wonder if my Road Angel was on the blink. Occasionally shows 600+ when I'm stationary in the courtyard at home!

Nah! I wish.....

We live by a river and we've got this brick paved area between the house and the river. It says "Courtyard" on the plans.

Dunno what else to call it!

I grew up in a house with a courtyard. Now I struggle to run to a backyard...

Standard MY05 JDM STi ECU, as far as I know, but remapped by Litchfield/Powerstation for UK fuel when it was imported in 2004. Around 300bhp I'm told.

Why?

It's never happened with mine MY06 STi JDM T20

It may be a connection issue, sometimes speedo's are remove on Alarm/trackers are fitted IIRC

Tony

BTW i think Iain was getting the program for the ECU, so it can do the start up sweep on UK cars
