Alloy Wheel Cleaning Research
Hello All....
A student here at nott'm trent university is doing research into the cleaning of alloy wheels....with a view to developing an improved method.
He has asked me to post here to find out what methods/materials/equipment you use for cleaning your alloy wheels.
Any responses will passed on to the student, and will be much appreciated.
Cheers

Presuming the wheel design lends itself to be easily cleaned (i.e. WRX), I have always just used the same shampoo and water mix used for the rest of the car (separate sponge). As long they are washed regularly, this has always given good results for me. No need for a specific cleaner.
A more detailed wheel design would probably require another technique...
