don,t be fooled
beware of buying a scooby thats got an hk style manifold fitted , i did and payed the price . the trick is to change the standard one and link pipe to relieve the pressure of the turbo , the down side is the engine ecu light is on all the time , i had my o/e manifold put back on ( the light pissed my off ) and the turbo bearing started to scream just as boost came on ,so £1500 later it,s running like it should i thought i would send this so no one else get, stitched up like i did .

I presume we are talking new age Impreza here ?
The reason the check engine light was on was because the pre cat had been removed by changing the up-pipe, if someone had also fitted an "interupter" (basically a small electric device) into the wiring the ecu would have been fooled into thinking a cat was still fitted and not come on.
IMHO the turbo bearing was nothing to do with the fitting of an aftermarket manifold, it was pure coincidence that it went when you put the standard one back, unless of course someone left a bit of **** (gasket/carbon or exhaust paste) in/on the original manifold when it was refitted which then got sucked up and wrecked the turbo.

Baggie, you need an 'O2 sim' to rectify the problem.
