Default 2.5 STI output with PPP

Quick q for those in the know. If the 2.0 outputs is @ 300-305 bhp and similar torque, what does the 2.5 make with no other mods aprt from the PPP

Just wondered who much difference there would be and if its worth it ?

TIA

The PPP on the 2.5 liter gives it 320PS (316bhp) and 450Nm (332 lbft).
See: http://www.prodrive.co.uk/up/06MY%20STi%20PPP.pdf

My STI06 has PPP now for a good month. The increase in power/torque is there, but not as noticeble as on my previous STI02. That car definately needed the extra torque at low revs to make it more driveble and fun, whereas the STI06 is really powerful out-of-the-box.

Ofcourse you'll get a nice engine sound as well. Still enjoying it every day.

To sum it up: Go for it.

If you don't mind me asking, why are you selling the GTI?

Few reasons,

Firstly the DSG whilst as an auto/semi auto its better than any other gearbox, it has its quirks for example: when in d mode doing say 70 on the motorway and you want overtake something you put your foot down and it drops to 4th or even third which is screaming the **** off it,

Secondly there is always a small delay when pulling away which means you have to put your foot down a bit harder when coming out of a junction so the wheels spin and in comes the TC and you are left marooned

I had a remapped TT before and whilst the delivery is'nt as aggressive as a Scooby's i quite liked it, the golf is very linear and pulls from no revs but not as nearly as hard

Handling wise it's good nice sharp turn in, and you can even get a bit of lift-off oversteer if you are driving it like you nicked it

So far i have driven a 2005 STI, a 2005 STI with PPP and a 2006 2.5 STI and i just wondered how much more 2.5 would have with PPP as i really like the way it pulled without the PPP

Having said that a mate took me out in his Tuscan S last night and that really pulled
