Default 2006/7 Impreza HID - colour temp

As I have got HID's now on my classic with colour temp 6000K and I love them.
I have not seen any new hawkeye's on the road and especially at night, so what colour are the HID Xenon lights on the new Impreza's??

But I have seen quite a few new shape Legacys with these HID lights on and they are the same colour as a stock bulb - yellow.

So are the Impreza's the same?

If so can you change the colour temp bulb to a higher temp?

AFAIK, you can change the bulb colour temperature any time you want, so long as new bulbs are available in your fitting and your shape.

Be aware, however, that higher colour temperature does NOT equate to more light.

Are you assuming that because the Legacy's have the "bulls eye" glass ball projector lens instead of a convetional reflector that they are HID's?

I thought that until I got a MY02 STi which has the projector lens but a conventional H1 blub behind it.

Turns out you can get HID's with either reflectors or projectors and conventional blubs the same.
