buyer gets them for £10 in my opinion

Do you think he meant to put £1000, and somehow put a full stop in the price....???

Just read the for sale thread on here..... he obviosly put the price in the carriage section oddly....???

I'm pretty sure if that was my auction, I'd explain the situation. There's no chance I'd sell for £10. He doesnt have to, its his prerogative to keep them. He might get negative feedback but thats better than losing out on £400+

Yup, I'd guess so, unless its the new owner of the RB5, but I doubt he'd be selling those wheels, as he previously owned a VX220.

Its probably like selling the keys for your car for 10k, and throwing in your car for free, kind of advert..

Hopefully the wheels are from a genuine seller, and the wheels are not from one of the cars that have been stolen recently.

lol.

Just looking at the original auction, it says Auction Ended Early as Buy it Now was used, so the seller must have put Buy it Now for £10, right? Hmm...

Exclamation

Cobblers! It's quite clear, £10 to buy, £450 to post & buyer still collects. When the item was bought it would have said £460 all in as you can't not pay for the postage as it's not an option. Hence item would have cost £460 & that is what the seller has signed up to.

Sorry bud. Hopefully you'll get all the money for it. If you ever do it again make sure you add in somethin like the postage fee is an admin fee that counts even in the case of collection.
It is quite blatent that whoever listed it ment they were 460 quids worth and that was what would have to be paid but i imagine theres some people that would be real argumentative over it..
Good luck anyway

...that was a good one...honestly cracked me up .....looks like something I would do if I was rushing it

A good excuse not to would of been that they got nicked from the shed or something.

I remember i "bought" a laptop from ebay on the cheap with no reserve and that ended up with me as highest bider (me and my countdown watch )....I paid straight away and only to get refunded straight after....the bloke was a trader with 100% feedback and i had won the bid with about £80 bellow average price based on the same machines he had sold before.

He emailed me saying his son had droped it on the floor and smashed the screen hence could not sell it to me has such (strange how this just happened right at the end of the auction)

Needless to say that I felt like a c.unt on that one

You don't pay ebay selling fees on postage. Normally its a percentage of the sale price. So I think the £450 on postage (even when you collect in person) was a way to stop having to pay most of the ebay charge.

You get lots of people doing this and you see lots of mega postage costs - but not normally this extreme.

On a side note....this is great if you are selling, but if you are buying please bare in mind that that postage fees are non refundable (just in case you have a problem with the item)

well,if i won them and collected, £10 is all id pay, postage fees are just that,so £10 is the sale price,it does not say ypu must pay postage even if u collect,if it did, people would not buy them for £10 unless they didnt mind paying £460 for them !

if it has been agreed by the buyer seller then its a good way to get out of ebay fees,i know a company that sell via ebay, agree a price, list it for 0.99 and add £££ to the postage,AGREED before hand tho !

Lol well id only pay a tenner aswell an d make sure i collected them in person, haha if i was the seller tho, id be unwilling to let them go for a tenner, andf would take the neg, the buyer would leave then return the favour.

P.s when selling on ebay if i refund someone do i not have to refund the postage

Quick Reply: lol, wonder if he read the bit about postage?
