Door Handle Bust (Inside)
Anyone got any ideas 
? Got a classic MY00. Got out the car tonight and my inside drivers door handle felt slack. I pulled the handle and nothing, the door remained closed and the handle is now flapping like and England player taking a pen. I have to drop the window and open the door from the outside 
. Could the plastic catch inside that connects to the main rod have snapped?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It could just be that the rod has slipped out of the plastic hook where it sits. The rods don't normally break but then I'm no expert. Just remove the handle and have a quick look behind it m8, won't take you more than 5 mins.
