Default Warning to all members in the NW area

To all the members in the North West area - more so the Haslingdon and Rawtenstall and the immediate surrounding areas. There is a gang of car jackers going around - targetting Subaru's at the moment.
Last night they followed a owner home and stole his car from the drive while he was waiting for his garage door to go up !

Please be wary of cars following you home and make sure drive with your doors locked !

The chances are these people would use anything they are carrying. Would anyone one here risk a prison sentence, for possibly killing someone? No car or anything I own is worth going to prison for.. This is my opinion, If people choose to defend their property from the theiving $*** in whatever way they choose, this is up to them,

I'd see it as a risk to me as well as my car so yes i wouldn't hesitate in beating them to a pulp and i'm serious.

if i had a gun pointed at me then a different matter

A Monopod (for cameras) works quite well, and is just the sort of thing you might leave in your boot...and less obvious that a baseball bat. Or a golf club...unless you have just come back from the driving range.

Not being sarcastic here...! I hardly think these theiving $ucm bags will let you into your boot, to get your shopping out... never mind any hobby item you might have in there..They want your car, and they are at your car door that fast, you will hardly have time to swing your head around, never mind something 3' long.
