Looking at what air filter to buy for my 04 sti, what are the best to go for.
I looked at forced induction, powertek, blitz and so on and so on.

Sports panel filters are easy non complicated extras.
Lots of mates who have fitted Induction Kits get involved in all kinds of stuff relating to getting cold air into the system and, lots of other extra expense.
Norman who is a Rally driver, sponsered by Foresters Subaru, in the West Midlands, dosen't use Induction Kits, he says, he has a "Shed Full" of Air Induction Kits he's tried over the years.
Hope this helps.

Green, K&N and JR Racing all have good reputations. All are lifetime units with warranties, and can be cleaned and reused for 100,000+ miles. The STi filter is a serviceable item and thus needs replacing each service just as the OE paper jobbies. Some swear by the STi ones, but they came bottom in a test by Scoobymag for flow and filtration IIRC. I had a JR and couldn't fault it in 37k miles.
