Default Using Water

In the last 3-4 weeks, I've noticed that I am putting in around a pint of water between checking.

( religiously check, tyres, water, oil etc every Sunday morning.)

I do around 1,000 miles per week in mixed driving conditions, Motorways Towns, A roads, B Roads etc.

The last Scoob I had, I can't remember putting in much water and, oh yes, little bit of oil each week, not even 1/8th of a pint.

It's done 20,000 miles, is 16 months old, serviced spot on, K& NN Panel Filter, Garret 28 series blower, Remap, Sports Back Box.

Any thoughts please?

Thanks.

Kind regards

Alan Mac

PS You were all correct re cold weather and over boost!

Expnsion tank failure is common on Classics. So common that I know one dismantler who keeps two or three new ones in stock at all times!

Check your rad for leaks/holes, follow the water pipes from the rad and check for holes, degrading.

Hope that helps

Radiators are common for leaks. Take a look around the offside between the tank and rad core
