Default Advice on possible mods

Got an 03 Sti .. Had it since new and i think its time to do some mods as the warranty is now over.

Considering a full de-cat exhaust system, uprated full pump, air filter or maybe induction kit and a re-map.

My question is it better to go for the tuning packages offered by Powerstation and WRC Tech or is it better to buy your own components and get then fitted with a re-map.

If it is better to buy your own components any recommendations?? Also recommendations on who to fit and re-map. I live in Birmingham so somewhere close to here would be gr8 but am willing to travel if for good skills and knowledge

I've gone the same route with my sti8 ppp.
Fitted a full decat exhaust £400 (TSl group a downpipe + blitz nur spec r)
Panel filter £40
3 port boost solenoid £50
Remap by Andy F £550

Do it yourself, bought most of the bits secondhand, paid about £100 to get them fitted.
Car is transformed power delivery is brutal!!

Don't forget, power is nothing without control My humble 03 WRX PPP used to anhialate STi PPP's on a/b roads due to far superior handling. AST's, Whiteline bars and a killer geo set-up would be top of my list. Up the performance later.
