does it make that much difference?
i have got a 3" decat down pipe then it joins onto the nur spec 2.5" then back to 3" for the rest of the system.

would i gain alot from changing it?

your always better having a true 3" as when it goes up and down it messes with the gas flow. think of it this way when your having a drink through a straw if you nip it half way down the straw you have to suck harder to get same amount of drink so same applies to exhaust

Some people might disagree, apparently going down to a 2.5' system and back up again gives better lower end torque. On the other hand, a full 3' system would be better suited for +350bhp......... I sit on the fence on this

the best exhaust are either a true 2.5" or 3" which is best for 350+ what i have on mine

You do not have to weld in a new 3" piece as both parts are use the same size flange and will bolt up without any probs,
However, as has been said, 2.5" section will be better for lowndown/mid range torque but the 3" will be better for outright power.

BTW, I hope you have got ear plugs/defenders with this exhaust !!

Where abouts did you get it done?
What downpipe and second decat pipe would you recommend to go full 3 inch?
