Default Max bhp of a spec c

What is the max power you can run on a spec c with standard internals, plus peak boost, plus max bhp on the standard turbo, please

370-390 depending how hard you screw it.
Anything above 1.6-1.7 bar is getting silly on the standard turbo.

Depends what sort of longevity you are expecting from it really.

Edit to add :- Have a read of Shauns articles on his own spec-c development.
A good starting point.

andy,,
I see shaunee runs around 1.6 peak boost, makes around 380 bhp, is the turbo about out at this fiqure, if say you ran a gt 30, would it make 400 bhp at 1.65 bar, is the engine on stock internals all out at these fiqures, i know a few on reckon they are running 450 on standard internals, but that is suicide, never going to last,

Lol my Uk classic car is 450 on stock internals (on race fuel) and you are right, It is suicide but someone has to push the boundaries.

It's pretty much all over for the standard turbo, you are just pumping hot air if you push it much harder.
Standard Spec-C internals seem to live long and prosper at quite high figures.
What a GT30 will give you at 1.65 I have no idea.
I've seen too many variations on a theme for that turbo so cant say what was what.

As a safe bet then, the car gets used every day basis, 400/400 would be a good safe spec c then

Fuzz, how much further can you push the Turbo on a MY05 T25, I want to get to 400bhp but keep the driveability I've got now. I expect I'm in new turbo territory here aren't I?

Sorry for the hijack

With proper supporting mods (front mount, injectors, fuel pump, turbo) I don't see why not.
I might have rose tinted specs on because of my own car lasting so long (3+ years 20K miles) so dont rely on my word alone.

Martin, the T25(old) turbo is spec'd specifically for 350 and it's mid range torque characteristics, it's in it's zone around there.
I think you are looking at a bigger one.
Keeping drivability and large blowers is always a bit of "having pie and trying to eat it"
There maybe other options out there but as far as I can see the T25 is it at the mo. (but then I would say that)

Alan Bell's 2.5 STi7 is certainly driveable, every day. It has phenominal low down grunt (just waiting for graphs to see for certain), pushing you along with enough grunt from 2500 onwards. That has just made in the region of 450bhp and 475lbft today, although thats on a built engine, MD321T turbo running 1.6bar.

Paul, the car has been running over 400 for a while, but its just had a turbo change, hence the new figures. Alans 1/4 times dont do the car justice, it IS an 11 second car in th eright hands. Alan can launch it, he just changes gear to slowly

it sounds a really good car, next year you could have a quick go to see if you can improve it,
