mot test - will a cracked / broken rear light fail ??
girlfriends mot is due in a couple of days, and im wondering if the thing is likely to pass as it has a broken rear lamp unit.
now the broken bit that is missing is right at the bottom of the light approx 6mm strip about 8cm long. now i could tape over this gap to stop any white light from coming out, would this be a suitable fix until i have chance to get a new one? the car in question is a pug 206 and by taping up the hole will not really cover much of the light unit up so it will still function correctly.
any gen from any testers out there ???

I had a broken rear fog lamp on the works van. At the MOT, the tester said that it would fail..... unless I some red insulation tape...which I had! Hey presto, it passed.
