Default Type bubble

I washed my car this afternoon and when I was cleaning my wheel/tyres I noticed on the o/s/f tyre that there was a buldge like a bubble on the sidewall of the tyre. The tyres are Toyos T1-S and are all fairly new.

I am going to go down to my local tyre place and see what they say in the morning, but I thought I would post it on here and see what SN says.

Darren

P.S. I know this should really be posted in the wheel, tyre section, but posted here for a quick'er response.

basically mate, it's fooked.

normally caused by pothole if you catch it wrong or if you've had a slow puncture and it's gone down overnight, it'll pinch the sidewall and probably put a slight tear in it that'll cause the bubble. (at least that's what happened to me on a few week old F1 )

could blow out so not worth taking the risk buddy

Thanks guys.

I did actually go down a large pot hole by accident as I did not see it.

So am going to write a loverly letter to the council to see what they say, and also see if they will give me come compensation towards a new tyre (s).

----------

Now, would it be advisable to get two new tyres (prob get T1-R) or just one tyre? or the whole lot changed?

get a pic as soon as you can mate, they tend to fill them in double quick if someone has told them they'll be claiming for damage. speaking from experiencecomplained in the late afternoon, went to take pics the next morning and it had been filled in overnight shame they don't work that quick normally

The repair job they have done is very 'patch work' to say the least.

-------------

replace one tyre or two tyres or the whole lot??

not the best to advise on tyres mate, but personally if you're sticking to the same type just 1 (as long as the other side isn't more than about half worn)

if you're going for a different type of the same make - 4. don't run different types front to back, could **** the grip up a treat!
