Default question on fitting defi oil pressure sender

Okay, just got my new set of defi's for MY03WRX. quick question if I may.

when I have fitted my new defi oil pressure switch I assume the oil warning light will stop on on the dash board as the oem one connected to the loom will have no pressure to close the connection to deactivate it.

will it matter if I just bridge the connection to stop this so that when I come to sell the car i can replace the oem version when i remove the defi's.

Anyone had this problem, is it as easy as stated above, or can that cause problems with the ECU possibly?

won't cause any problems at all - just remember to keep the oe fitting and cable tie the connector somewhere where it can't do any damage!

Don't need to bridge it.
Just remove oe sensor and fit the Defi one. Then just tie the oe conector out of the way. Without the sensor connected the warning light never comes on.

Because the temperature sender goes in the hole with the blanking plug, not the pressure sensor.

As mentioned just fit the Defi pressure sensor in place of the OEM one.

I used one of these to plug in both the OE and gauge sender.

I used the adapter from Gaugeplace this weekend. It works a treat.

If you route the pipe right you can P clip the brass body that holds the senders to the header tank on LHS of engine bay. There's even a spare screw hole in mine in exactly the right place (MY04 WRX)
