Default TD05

Quick one for the experts, whats considered to be the max efficient boost for TD05, i have been told if the boost is too high there is too much heat and you compromise the efficiency of the turbo , im running up to 1.4 bar with uprated TMIC any more and i dont really see that much of an improvent in performance, would a FMIC offset the temp ?

Thanks
James

I got a FMIC when I was running 1.2 bar and there was a noticable increase in performance when remapped again to take advantage of it (still running 1.2 bar though). After yet another remap, I am now running 1.4bar and it pulls quite well

im running 1.3bar with an sti ver1 tmic and everything seems ok but i think the max boost you should run on a standard td05 is 1.4bar. another option would be to speak to andyf, give him your turbo + £400 and he will give you back a td05 hybrid that can cope with alot more boost.

This I like the sound of that Do you mean it will flow a lot more air at the same boost thus keeping the charge temp down ?
