Points etc...how long do they last..?
Anyone know how long exactly points 
stay on your license for? I've heard its 3 years for "totting up" and 4 years before they're removed...

But I have 3 sets expired, but all within 5 years so to the insurance company it looks like I have 12

i put my dad on my impreza insurance, im 21 0 points (at the time got 3 now) and my dad has 9 current, on the fill out sheet that showed he had 12, insurance went up by about 35 quid!
i punched in my 3 points to see much difference and it was 12 quid more!! so hopefulyl with another years no claims it wont make much difference

When i was getting quotes for my insurance the start of this year. I mentioned the SP50 (Motorway) and no-one seemed bothered.
It's probably because a lot of people now have them.
(Wander if the 3 more this year will change this
