If it's a straight one, some ones going to get a very good deal. I bet the garage don't know what they've got there!

The next Type R nationally on the Autotrader site is @ £6.5K. And that's a 97 (less miles though).

83K is quite high for a type R

But I am so tempted to go up and buy it.

It;s basically a £7-8K car for £5K

I was very tempted too, despite looking for a wagon, until I checked my insurance quote......£1200! I was sure that now I've got old I would be deemed as sensible in the eyes of the insurers. Perhaps not.

Shop around - I am sure you will get it cheaper than that.

It's obviously a part ex - so they won't take another in part ex, otherwise I would be on my way up there now with my UK Turbo.

Thanks guys but stop it stop it...I need a wagon.
I'm already tempted, her in doors would go nuts if I came back with that!

Yep, to save the barrage of abuse, she does wear the trousers.

I cant understand how type-r's have dropped so much in value over the last couple of years and now that you cant import them anymore they are going to become more few and far between. Surley its only a matter of time before their values start going up again isnt it.

You can import (& register; the more difficult part) WRX STI Type-Rs. The V3 was launced in September 1996 and by the time it lands nearly half of the theoretical production can be registered immediately.
