Default What am I expected to pay for an 03 sti

Seen an 03 plate(1/3/03, so 3 1/2 years old) on ebay that is local to me, low mileage, 1 owner.
What is the residual % on these from new? bearing in mind that these days you can get a NEW 2.5 wrx for well under 15K.
Thoughts anyone?

regards

Wink

I would say around £13500-£14000 for a 1 owner, low miles, 03 STi.

Not a chance! Hate to see what the guide says but your looking at £13k tops. But more like £12 ish. 2 have sold on here for well below £12 and both where mint!

I paid 13.6K for my 03, 1 owner, 39K miles. Looking back, I overpaid, but I did get it taxed, fuelled, valeted and a years warranty and a new MOT aswell.

Cheers

Matt

Take no f**king notice of book value as its a load of b*lls.

A lot of different equasions effect price.including area etc.
A car is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

A book is a guide only, i find the Cap black book a little misleading sometimes.
best bet is to check other ones for sale in Autotrader.

Dont be scared of travelling for that mint condition belter though

totally agree with above

Price guide's are total tish!
for a start, they dont take into account extra's such as ppp, dealer extra's(oz prodrive alloys etc)

i was looking at swapping my03 sti ppp for an 06 sti, supermarket offered me £7800 ,promptly told to F**k off, subaru main dealer offered £11400 against a 55 sti(2.5 model)

for a uk variant of an 03 sti,you should be looking around 13-14 grand IMO,dependant on condition/mileage/SH etc,my car has done 69.000 miles.however i would want near the 13 k mark for it,as it is a minter, well looked after from new, another flip to this is i have seen 03 plate cars in a tatty and abused conditon with low mileage up at near 15-16 grand

some people are just desperate to sell, hence stupidly low sale prices,i would sit on the fence and wait for the right money,if i was to sell

independant dealers are looking at 13/14 grand for the ugly model, never mind the blobeye

if i was looking to buy at present,i would be tempted with a new wrx from a supermarket,at 15 grand they are a very cheap car

£30,000 of extras what did he do get the dash gold plated. Was thinking of sellin my 2003 WRX but i cant be arsed sellin it privately and the trade in i've been offered are disgraceful. Cant get a decent price 4 it privately cause theres always someone desperate to sell 4 pennys so u dont have a chance of gettin a decent price for yours as someone mentioned previously in the thread.

paid 16k for an o4 sti 2 weeks ago from a main subaru dealer. It has 18 in prodrive wheels, new brake pads and had full service all before I drove it out of showroom. also only 12k miles so Iam happy enough. Also N ireland prices are much higher due to small market. Only 2 offical dealers left. hope this helps

Yeah the dealers that charge £12 - 13k for an o2 prodrive are stupid! and so is the person that pays that for one. How long will they sit their? As for the guide being a load of pish then the whole motor trade is based on it so what does that say? If you hunt around mate you'll get a mint mid miles 03 Sti for around £12. -13k easy. I got an 54 plate EVO VIII FQ300 for £15200 back in feb so what does that tell you! It's a buyers market as the trade is on it's ****!

How much difference in price should a 53 plate STi be compared to an STi PPP with similar miles and condition?

can't see it being more than £500-£750. would make it more desireable, but don't think it'll recoup more than 50% the RRP.

I would recon £500 £750! a grand at the very very top but it would not be me paying that. Keep your eye out on this site mate as above 2 have went for below £12 grand. Bargin! Because of fuel, insuranve and tax going up then these type of cars are more and more difficult to sell so thats why their going so cheap.
