Default Any Legal heads out there help

Just got back from the police station Ive been down to watch a video of my vehicle speeding Aledigibley doing 41 in a 30.

The video was recorded from the rear so impossible to determine who was driving.

I need to Know and cant find anything on the net without paying for solicitors etc, is the following.

The start of the video shows the whole of the rear of my vehicle including the reg plate which is clearly visible, but on the report bar at the bottom which shows time date mph etc it aslo states ERROR 03.

According to the MPC Error 03 means that the infra red light is not locked on to the vehicle so cant give an accurate reading.

Simple so far

This what I really need to find out.

Later in the video the camera locks on to my vehicle but you can only see part of the registration

So in principal the only evidence they have got was when the camera was locked onto my vehicle when only the first 4 digits could be read.
Can this be used in evidence or do I challenge

Anybody got any ideas

Swallow it and pay £60 plus 3 points

Or

Hire a good barrister and go to court - Probably costing much more than £60 (however you may get court costs paid if you win - but obviously you will still have solicitors fees)

Or

Go to court and defend yourself, researching as much as you can before hand

Or

Pay some student £250 to take the point hit for you.

Personally I would go for option one

i came back from court yesterday on a similar thing. Mine was just photos from the back of the car but i was still prosecuted even though there were inconsistencies in the statements of facts which should have been enough to get it thrown out on its own! I got done though! good luck and i hope you get off with it

Challange it and ask to see the calibration cert for the equitment / copy of there insurance for the car that catched you and its mot, you are free to see them and if any are out of date ect...... your in the clear. worth a try if you take them to court.

Is the video the ONLY evidence or is it in addition to statements made by the officers involved? If it is the only evidence, who took and how? If it is in addition to other evidence, that other evidence may well confirm the commission of the offence but the video is only in support as minor additional testimony.

Send me cash in a brown envelope totalling £1000 and I'll try and get you a £60 fine and three penalty points.

If you are running the Subsection 4 defence, and are unable to identify the driver , viewing the video is a good step for demonstrating reasonable diligence.

If you are questioning the ever so dodgy LTI20 20 dodgeyscope, then you will need to take it to court and demand disclosure of the tape, not just a snippet with your car, but the whole enforcement period.

Not if the operator is a civilian (most scammer operators are civvies), only police officers can form an opinion that a vehicle is speeding, providing primary evidence of the offence.

Why do you continually post this same conceited ****e? Are you attempting to confirm that solicitors (on the whole) are arrogant, feckless, incompetant tossers who make little effort and have less ability*? If so. well done!

If you were a little better at filling in legal aid forms then youd have a newer Impreza Im sure: and you wouldnt be so cheap as to try to bum a free aerial for it.

Simon

edited to edd: * or just to confirm that you are a smug but talentless journey-man?
