Does anyone know if it is possible to retro fit the dash controls for heating ac etc from the 05 model to the previous new age cars?

 

I would not think so, as it's not just the ***** that have chnaged but the fact that it changed from a semi-automatic system to a fully automatic (ie climate control). Therefore somewhere there must be an additional bit of kit that allows the climate control to work which a previous car would not have. So I do not think it would be worth all the hassle of finding out as I would guess it's unlikely...
