Nope, I have a Hybrid and there's enough room with the aircon, at least 2mm each side
Oh, and you'll need the extra fan too, don't take it off - when the fuse popped on one of my fans the car ran to 99C before I had to put the heaters on full to get it down. BTW the OE temp gauge read normal

A word of advice if I may; take some sandpaper to the end of each of the pipes and 'key' it so the silicon (so they claim!) connectors can get a grip. If you wipe the inside of the silicon connectors with thinners it will make them tacky.
After spending two trackdays spent re-attaching hoses I've ended up using t-bar clamps, throwing out the supplied silicon pipes, buying some new longer ones, and using a glue-like compound (which I'm told is from Samco) to make sure they don't come off again.
I got so sick of it popping hoses that I really did consider going back to a top mount.....

You can also you a squirt of hairspray on the outside of the tube before you quickly slide on the hoses.
Works a treat and cheaper than any branded stuff you can buy.
