Ask your Sat-nav to get you to "Birkin Lane, Wingerworth, Chesterfield", then follow this...

IIRC, The Smithy Pond pub is right where Nethermoor Road meets Pearce Lane. Drop down the hill and turn left onto Birkin Lane and then right onto Malthouse Lane.

The stretch between the Little Chef roundabout and the Norton roundabout on the A61 is a good testing road.

The easiest way to find them is to take the 'Matlock' road out of Chesterfield and then turn left on the first part of the big hill up to Stonedge. I can give you the exact co-ordinates for ScoobyClinic if you like; youll have to tell me what format you can use them in though.

just remember to turn left after the ford (keep the tree line to your left) and not drive up to the chicken farm and massoof grain silos..!

53o 11' 55" N
1o 28' 32" W

'Slack Hill' is on the A632 in Kelstedge; the part of the A61 refered to is probably the Unstone/Dronfield bypass as Gatecrasher has suggested.

I found it easy enough using the map the first time. Can't see how you'd forget once you've been
