how do.

what do you recommend i've got 13k to spend, what should i stay away from or look for?

i need i car less that 6 years old due to car allowance. Was thinking 03.
station wagon / saloon (like both)?
japanesse import or UK?

mileage under or over (cam belt replacement etc)

guide me in the right direction

I got an 04 wrx for £11,995 5 months back so you should be able to get similar for your money. It had 14k on th clock.

Do a search on Uk or JDM, quite a few threads on this.

Get ready for all the 'get an older STI' responses.

wow what a fantastic car
wheres it at (county)?

i was looking at dealer for piece of mined
whats peoples opinion is it necesery for car this old or is private sale ok?

Mine was from a dealer, just not a Subaru one. Saved about £3k doing it this way.

The car is in Yorkshire. As it's still in warranty and a UK supplied car you will still have full dealer support until Feb 2007 IIRC. Nothing much goes wrong with new-age Scoobs as long as they're serviced properly and driven with mechanical sympathy, which I can vouch for personally on Raf's car as he's a top guy and personal friend. A similar car at a franchised dealer would be at least £2k dearer, that's an expensive peaceful mind when the car above carries the same warranty from the same people.
