Default Advice please

Hi guys, i bought a clutch off ******* a couple of weeks ago but i havent revieced anyhing from him and he is not answering my pm's!

He sounded genuine enough. He cashed the cheque and told me last friday that he will be sending the clutch out by dhl on monday. That was the last i heard from him.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Also if anyone knows him, (i know theres a lot of newcastle scooby's out there) please let me know

Counting the minutes before this gets locked and deleted.....
You shouldn't have put his address up mate. There may be a logical explanation.

Did he give you a dhl tracking number?
If so you can track it on their website but admittedly 2 weeks is bloody long time even for dhl.

Edit your post to take off his address.
If there is a genuine explaination, he won't thank you for telling everyone where he lives

He told you it was brand new? As he bought it to fit it but it didn't need doing?

I've had a look through his post's and on 4 days after the clutch was for sale he talks about how he's replaced his (well that's how I read it).

'ive just had the exact same problem in about 100 miles you'll be going nowhere cos the clutch would have completly burned up. def clutch sliping'

@ AC

Yep he said it was brand new never fitted.

@ MattW
could be the case, but when you have someones money it's nice to let them know what's going on. I think i've been pretty patient till now.

People are too nice on here. He hasn't posted since last week and he's not replying to you. Now, if I was you I'd be more than worried.

If he was unwell or on holiday, surely he would have told you? Secondly, if he had sent it by DHL then you'd have it by now??

Sounds very strange to me and I certainly wouldn't want to be in your position. Sorry but just speaking the truth.

If he does come back then good for you.

i take it you have already tried directory enquiries to see if they have a number for him?
Have a read through his old posts to see if he has ever posted his phone number as well.

Hi Paul,

Sorry you haven't heard anything from Chris yet. He told me he would be sending you a message as per my PM to you.

I'm not sure what else I can do since he is an aquaintance. The best I could manage at the present time, is call round at the weekend and ask for the clutch on your behalf, and send it to you. But, I doubt I'd know a good clutch from a buggered one.

Micky.

cheers micky, that would be great. you have been a great help.
After reading the earlier posts i have a feeling hes gone and put it on his car, so he would probably give you the knackered one anyway but its worth a try. i dont suppose he's going to give you my £120 is he .

You have his address FFS. sod the BBS, get round his house and demand clutch or money. If it turns nasty... GOOD, you can get the police involved then.

Theres a slight distance between tyneside and essex. Consult a map if your unsure Which is why, (I don't know why, as it's nothing to do with me?) I'm trying to help out/get this matter resolved.

I'd be driving to John O bloody groats if someone that lived there had money and it was mine!
I understand there is a clutch - no - car - go issue though.

Good that you are, well done.
Can't you go round and give him a slap, seeing as you know him, he wouldn't see it coming
