Default Japanparts.com

Hi has anybody had experience of using japanparts.com. I'm looking to change the silver dash on my MY05 STI with the black spec C one. I think the pervious owner used to clean the sliver bits with a brilo pad.

Any feedback would be great.

The postage includes the UK customs charges as well

I ordered £1500 worth of goods from there recently and was charged roughly £100 for everything delivered to my front door. I was happy to pay TBH.

i have just looked at a set of spec c wheels on their for 18's £822.

but postage to door was £388.00

or

to manchester airport or liverpool sea port £188.00

so does that mean if i choose the airport/seaport option, i have to collect from there. didnt know you could just pick things up from the airport etc..

anyone done things this way.

I considered having my stuff sent to the airport but decided for the hassle not to have it done. Plus I was a bit weary of going to the airport just in case I had to pay some kind of tax there or something. I went with having my stuff delivered to my front door

If you pick it up from the airport or docks yourself you will have to pay customs and excise yourself.
VAT + import duty + any other fees due, these could be a handling charge and a storage fee charge if you take a while to pick the consignment up, I think 3 days is free after that storage will apply.
Take all this into account and you can see why they charge so much for door to door service.
Of course the shipping agent also adds a "profit" to the charges he has to lay out for.
In my experience you can also expect to spend at least half a day waiting
