parallel imports
Thinking of buying a 2.5 wrx wagon and they cost £5-6000 less from a supermarket such as motor point. Understand that they bring them in from Malta or Cyprus. What are the drawbacks compared to buying from a UK franchised dealer as this is a big saving. Heard some rumours about not applying anti corrosion paint coats. Advice please.

Welcome to Scooby net.
Type "EU imports" in the search box above and you will find loads of info but basically they are the same as uk less locking wheelnuts and alarm.
The underseal is the same and warranty is fine as long as the car get registered with Subaru UK (do a search to find out how)
