Default rolling road question?

the cars booked in for a dyno run next month.my car is a 99 jdm sti so its limited to 112 miles per hour.will i still get a proper run out before the limiter kicks in and slows the car down..the car just got a tek 3 map and i thought it would be de limited but i dont think it is..

any ideas??

Depends which gear you run it in.

We use a place with a dyno dynamics dyno and it makes no odds what gear you run in, you get the same results (i had this done just to prove it to myself!)

I dont know the gear ratio's but i'd have thought 3rd would get you to redline before before the limiter.

Alternatively on a lot of cars you can just unplug the speedo sensor.

Cheers,

Ben.

I'm sure if you ask the mapper nicely he will remove it for you , I normally do if the customer asks....
