Thumbs down SIDC Member at Jap Fest

Well done to the SIDC member at Japfest today at around 9.30pm tonight. Well done for doing donuts around the camping area next to all the tents/cars and BBQ's. And more importantly the children that were around. When he was asked to stop doing this as he nearly hit a child from a woman member from the SSC he gave her a mouthful of abuse. Then proudly proclaimed he was a member of the SIDC.

Well done that Subaru driver for making all the other Subaru drivers look like a moron. NOBODY else was doing this.

If anybody can send this link to the SIDC please do as I dont post on there.

Why do they feel the need to do this and give Subaru drivers a bd name?

saying your SIDC and actually being one is two different things, that said i doubt if the "member" will actually own up!

Either way, bad sport and all that!

Yes they do, they have the drag strip for all that. There is very strict rules at the camping site and things like doing donuts are a very big no no purely for the safety of the people that are camping.

Phil, most of the members of the SSC are still at Japfest now. Would you like them to give you the car details and if possible the reg number tomorrow at the stand?

My step Dad had a word with guy and he apologised. Still no excuse for being a fool in a family area.

PS Who had a massive row (two girls) and a bit of a fight after a car alarm went off @0150 (natalie?????????)

Hi Phil

They couldnt recognise the car again as they had far too much beer

But he did knock it off when told to so no harm done in the end.

Someone from SIDC was doing this and now no one can remember the car.

Hope there's no "closing of ranks" here?
If recognised, immediate expulsion from the SIDC is the least that should happen.

There is no closing of ranks as far as we know. It was dark when it happened and the 2 people who spoke to the driver had huge amounts of alcohol afterwards so are a bit fuzzy about the details of the car other than it being a scoob.

No excuse for the alleged SIDC driver, but if people are going to make complaints that needs actioning, enough proof is required for reprimanding. An example in this case will be a registration plate, not an SIDC logo.

SIDC like scoobynet is full of different people from different walks of life, therefore posting one moron's action with an SIDC logo, in fairness does not represent the club.

It was rather strange that it was an SIDC Member Saturday and then even the car couldn't be recognised the next day

However there are idiots in all walks of life and I don't doubt there was a Subaru acting in this manner whether he was an SIDC Member may well never now be discovered

Should an incident like this occur again the organisers of the event should be given the details and they will no doubt expel them from the event and they will report them to which ever club they are a member of

I am glad to say the show seemed to be a real success for those that attended with the weather being very kind to us all

Being drunk at a motorsport event doesn't sound all that responsible either. Maybe they should grow up too.

It was about 9.30pm in the evening and they were in the camping area away from the strip.

So if you go to a show and stay over you now have to stay sober? Grow up.

There is a bit of a difference between having a few drinks and having so many you can't remember details of the night before. Not a good example to set to all those children who were around.
