Went to Subaru last saturday and ordered a new boot. Had a discussion with one of the service engineers about Subaru UK not servicing Jap imports etc. Was told that it was the importers that stipulated these rules and thought fair enough, not their fault.

Went up today to pick up my new boot and it had a big dent and one of the corners had a 90degree bend in it. They ordered a new one for me, but that wasnt why i left there fuming

When i pulled onto the forecourt there was a grey Type'R' for sale for £9995. I went and had a chat with the same chap and they have serviced it ready for selling and will be giving 3 months warranty!!!!!!! Eventually was told that they can take or refuse any business that they want to..... I left.

Bad, but TBH I think it may be the difference between them making plenty of money on a sale against the value of doing a service, not necessary good business sense but nevertheless a logic, I wonder if the new owener of that car will be able to get it serviced at that garage in 12 months?

Have to say I have nothing but praise for this garage. I live in Exeter and travel there as their service has been outstanding and they are happy to talk problems over the phone

I am sure that they are good otherwise they wouldnt last long.... Just a bit disapointed with the attitude that I got and the way they conduct thier business.

They will refuse some cars, it depends on condition, age, service history etc, sometimes its too much hassle for a dealer and once involved they are stuck with a problem.

Tileys in bristol will service my JDM. But they said that was because i had my previous car servised there.
