I cant see a reason not to bid on it, although the image is poor: the grade and lack of relevant comments would satisfy me (easy to say that when your agent tells you if theres anything in the appraisal to worry about though). All that you need translating are the comments written by the rear view of the car. The full description is always entered on the listing title; wasnt this taken from a live internet portal?
Try clicking the appraisal sheet link and saving the clearer version.

GC8.
Can you read it? If so, does it say Spec C? I'm not sure where the listing came from as it was emailed to me by a third party.
The image on my 1st post is fairly large, seems like no one but me can see it though?!

I cant read it, but Im familiar-with / can-interpret appraisal sheets. If the car had electrically operated windows then the option would be circled: it isnt so Im assuming that its an STI Type-RA, as STI shave electric windows. I could be certain if the sheet was clearer though.....

According to a Japenese lady at work here it says. Spec C, no trim inside boot (Spec C doesn't have it from what I remember) located in SW Japan, 13100Km, manual, 1 private owner. That's about it really. HTH

Andy; ask her to translate whats written free-hand alongside the rear of car picture. Thats all thats going to be relevant (and if thats what she has done; Bobs yer uncle). Terminator; yes I did: the full model name is WRX STi specifications C 17 inch tire specification car. Catchy or what? Bugeyes were called Type-RA, but not the '03s IIRC.

It's a spec C. it says at the top of the page "STi something something C".
And yes the spec C came with the small spoiler, and old school windows.

Thanks a lot guys, very helpful.
Andy M - could she read the wording near the lower pic?
Now that we know that it's a Spec C on to the next question ... what might the Specification of the Spec C be? It's not a motorpsort one ie crappy seats, no brembo's etc however could the Specification vary at all depending on the exact model of Spec C? I'm thinking that it doesn't say the model is V Ltd or Type RA for example ... apologies to GC8 if he's already answered this above!

Its definately a 17 inch version, small spoiler and wheels indicate that, it has a fist size scratch on the front bumper and 2 small dents by the looks on the sheets.

No Japanese auctions will always list the year of first use. In the comments they may include the month and year of first use but its not something that you can rely on (the MY isnt ever listed); even when a car was registered late. For example; Ive bought a CD9A Evo that was registered in 1996! A CD9A is an Evolution; the II & III were both CE9As, so that car sat new/unused somewhere for three years but I only found out the date of manufacture when it landed. It registered on a 1996 'N' btw.

What is the difference to the specification if it were a MY04 vs a My05? Is there a difference? Can anyone tell from the pics if it is a MY04 or MY05?

I've been told that it has the blue interior ...
