I used to be a regular on another car site, occasionally tried buying/selling parts but it became a joke, people pulling out or not sending the items even when i'd paid! Wasn't worth it in the long run. So far though *touch wood* i've had no probs on here.

They are silver, but i thought id get them sprayed up in deep blue metallic.
Anyway, the mirrors arrived, but no switch. After contacting the seller he sent it out, but it took bloody ages to arrive as he sent them 2nd class post

The other day i see another set of mirrors for sale, with switch, i contact the seller and it turned out they was already the right colour, definately the my00 deep blue metallic i ask? yep, great i thought save any spraying costs!
Yesterday they arrive, great im thinking, sell the silver ones i already have to get my money back and keep the dbm ones.
Open up the box, bloody hell! no switch, again, seller no 2 has forgot to include it as well. Unwrap the mirrors, hang on a ******* minute, these arnt dbm! Bloody sonic blue!

Is it really worth the hassle?

I think ill just sell both pairs when seller no'2 posts the switch to me and forget the whole thing!

I have purchased a loads of things from fellow scooby owners on scoobynet, and all i seem to get is a nightmare experience!
Why are you trying to get them in dbm? surely you can just swap the housings over with your current mirrors?

Depends on the housings - UK cars were black plastic before 99

Were these bought off ebay?
I say teach the **** a lesson, were they sent recorded delivery? ie did you sign for the parcel? If not, say you didnt recieve the mirrors, get your money refunded and then sell mirrors on.

Not sure ...but ill be giving it a go at the weekend (Im replacing the folding mechanism) ...but I did it with my old car (Celica) only problem i had was realising that i had to remove the mirror glass to access all the screws & to remove it involved heating the adhesive with a hair dryer ...& removing the plug connector & putting it back once id fed it back through the housing (just involved noting which pins went where) so not too taxing

ill let you know how i get on
