They beat the Atom by nearly a second, The Norris car had more problems than most because it was sooooooo loud, 118db IIRC and even after the Mods was still ear piercing loud . IMHO

The Car that won can be seen here http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/timeattack.asp Most of the subaru's entered on Track will be known on Here or on SIDC.

My username might be a clue to my Car but I only managed 11/2 out of my 3 session as Black Flagged for noise.

IMHO

Tony,

Everyone was in the same boat mate. I suspect all the top runners were hampered by the noise restrictions.

Well done, especially beating the Norris Evo that (still?) has the AST's fitted - commercial versus competitive decision...

Nice one Curt, a good suspension setup I imagine?

what problems were you having Neil, I saw you go round on the warm up lap

was a good day but watching how the ars whole dragged Pavlos car out of the gravel trap has put me off doing any days like this - with a little time and common sence the car would have come away un damaged , instead he managed to rip the front lip off and what looked like damage to the front bumper. It was criminal to watch him damage the car like that

sorry when i said i was fastest i should have said of the club challenge subarus...was 5th overall on the speed traps.

Basically rich the up pipe has split, so the car wouldnt make any boost, i found that out as i pulled out of the pit lane, so i just gave it up and pulled back in. Its a shame, but it wasnt a new thing, its been blowing for a while, this just finished it off.

Very well done to Phil and the Litchfield/Powerstation Mob. I was very pleased to see that the car that won was IMHO the most consistent throughout, especially given the lack of power early on in the year.

The day was on balance, a farce. In fact the organisation of the day as a whole was about the only thing more farcical than me binning it in the gravel on the outlap. In hindsight part of that was feeling the pressure to go out and give everything after no practice. I had a few laps basically cruising, and was quite surprised to see my laptime from the first session wasn't rediculous.

I still didn't push it at any time, I've never been to Donington before, and was getting into it gently. First session (combined) was yellow lighted after a lap or so, then we all stopped due to a fuel spillage. The second session where we were "taking it easy" was stopped after a few people just went flatout and they called us all in due to noise.

There were other issues on the day, the gravel monkeys did what they needed to do, I wasn't expecting anything else. The bumper was pretty dead anyway, it will do to see out the year.

Not sure it's econoically viable to do it again next year, there are better ways to lose my money!
