Default UK Turbo rev limit

Hi, an easy to answer question - if you have access to a car that is!

What is the rev limit on a UK turbo classic please, just I have a Forester S-turbo limited to 6,500rpm, when the Forester JDM's are 7,000rpm, can't see why they should be different, so would like to compare to a UK turbo Impreza!

Uk classic Turbo's red line at 7000 - JDM Sti's et al redline at 8 - I *think* JDM WRX's redline at 7,500

so, does that mean that the rev limiter cuts in at 8 (i belive its 8250) as my redline begins at 7 and its is a true STi (a STi VII).
This has confused me a bit

Normally JDM's rev to 8250rpm

IIRC if the limiter set piont is eg. 8000rpm the revs cut at 8250rpm about 2-3 seconds later revs cut drops back to 8000rpm.

it makes sense now, you would not have a redline start at 7000 and have a limiter cut in at 7250.
thanks for clearing that up for me!
