Question Replacing wiper stalk with switch......

So here Goes......

I'm replacing the windscreen wiper stalk with either a dial/*** or some switches .......the reason being i'm completely re-doing my dash and i have nothing on the steering colum other than a pair of indicators, the lights are now on switches to go onto the collection of dials and switches (ala WRC) on the dash.

anyway i'm currently stumped - i know it's late and my brain is probably fried by now but if i get it down on here it may make more sense to me when i explain.....

windscreen wipers - 8 wires.

Red, Green, White & Black = Screen wash with x1 wipe.

Black = 12v perm
Red& Green switch for wash & x1 wipe
White = Earth ??

--------------------------------------------------------

Blue/White
Blue
Yellow
Blue/Yellow

When connected together

Blue/Yellow & Blue = Low windscreen wipe

Blue/White & Blue/Yellow = High Windscreen wipe

-------------------------------------------------------

Now the complicated bit....

They all fed into a small curcuit board that is covered in resistors etc. If you ignore the board and short them as above they work fine, however i presume the board is in place to control the intermitant wipe.

with

Blue/Yellow & Blue = output from PCB to Yellow in intermittant bursts.

My problem is........

how can i switch the power on to the board to activate the intermittant wipe ???????

I have tried leaving the wiper board switch in intermittant position and then simply breaking the Blue/Yellow wire with a switch but it must get a feed back of juice from the resistors etc on the board as it intermittant wipes but with a small half wipe too (discharge of excessive juice i guess??)

It could be set with the switch breaking the intermittant Yellow wire but woudlnt this be dangerous with the power permanantly to the board full of resistors etc ???

Is there a solution to this does anyone have an electrical brain/knowledge ???

Thanks
Chris
