Can u tell me if this is illegal....
I thought i heard once that its illegal to sell a car without the handbook (the book that you get with the car that tells you were the indicator switch is , tyre pressures, instrument layout advice), is that right?

Thinking about it more, i thought it was if you had an accident you could claim that you did not know about all the controls and safety equipment, and the person/company you purchased from would be liable?

If the hand book did come with the car then you could still claim that its the sellers fault for not sitting you down on the desk and reading each sentence to you and explaining it to make sure you understood it.
The claim may stand up in a court in the US as they seem to be able sue anyone and anything but not a chance here!
Naz.
PS. Thats a no, you dont have to provide the handbook to be able to sell a car!!!

There was a couple of Dealers done here for that offence - supplying cars without a Handbook - they were put down for 7 years each!!
