Default genuine mistake or bo11ox?

i was mooching through ebay earlier and came across this...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...%3AUK%3A1&rd=1

read through it and it states a 280bhp 1993 impreza... standard... i then became curious and asked him the following...

hi fella can i ask what engine mods you have done to get 280, as my old impreza war was a 1993 and had 240 standard. the 280 was on post 96 models like the sti's and tyre ra etc...

andy

to which he replied...

hi there was yours an import. because alot of k reg and L rege .imported was mainly 280 .if you could read up on wrx .some imported never got restricted.

is this right or is he fobbing off a load of crap to me, as my car is a 95 with 93 ecu running gear etc and has 240 like all the other early ones or so i thought.

il leave it with you while i ponder off to work

night night

andy

He's an ignorant ****. Most of these il-educated f*ckwits state that the imported Impreza that theyre selling produces 280bhp. But then; they usually call it an STI as well...

Point him in the direction of www.sidc.co.uk for their faq.
"The reason i am selling the car is because it is not suitable for the family, because the vehicle is too fast. This is one eye catching vehicle as you can see, remote central locking, turbo timer, may part ex for Chevorlet Corvette"
and that is a suitable car for the family?
