Lightbulb

First off had a great day on Friday nice to put some faces to the names.

Anyway went to fill up today not at my local garage.I always use SUL at Esso which is 97RON but for thr first time in ages filled up at BP.
Now their pump said 98RON is this right ,but it might be my imagination but the car does seem that bit smoother.
And are they the only one still doing 98.

Question

I had the fortune to have to fill up at BP last week -I'm on Shell SUL (as the company pays!!)but they seem to be the only one labelled 98RON.
Didn't honestly notice much dufference though.

Exclamation

I've also seen at BP 98RON. Surely a big Co. like BP would not false advertise, would they?

Scotty.

OK I have spoken to BP in the past regarding 97/98 RON and mislabeling.

1.) All pumps should read 97RON.

2.) THERE IS NO 98 RON.

3.) The fuel companies had a period of grace of about 6 months to change the pump labeling over IIRC.

4.) THERE IS NO 98 RON

5.) They should all have changed by now

6.) THERE IS NO 98 RON

7.) Trading Standards will kick their butt if they are not changed.

8.) THERE IS NO 98 RON

9.) Ignore anything that the bloke behind the counter says, he knows nothing and is probably on minimum wage

10.) THERE IS NO 98 RON

Blimey, this topic has been discussed to death ages ago on Scoobynet and probably on 22b. Why dont you do a "search"???????

THERE IS NO 98 RON, USE YOUR SEARCH FACILITY AND SOME COMMON SENSE. OCCASIONALLY READ A QUALITY NEWSPAPER OR WATCH THE NEWS.
