Default Interim servicing costs

Have just had a 67,500 mile interim service done on my type r and was surprised at £165, £63 of which was 5l of Mobil 1 15w-50 oil.

First time away from the dealer network and was expecting some savings on dealer prices but dosn't seem to be the case. Car is going well, but is this about the right type of price?

Where are you based? Interim through specialist should cost around £100.

I'm in Leeds but I aren't a specialist, just an enthusiastic owner who's not scared of oily bits. Anyone with an ounce of mechanical knowledge can drop the oil, replace the filter, top it up and check the other fluid levels. The oil is from Euro Car Parts, 25 litre drum of Fuchs Titan Supersyn SL 5W40 for IRO £86. Does 5 oil changes plus top-ups. Oil is a big earner for any garage
