boost level! please help!

boost level! please help!
just fitted front mount intercooler. turned boost upto 1.2 bar, ran fine for 2 days but then began to fuel cut. now turned down to 0.9 bar and its still doing it. (thats less boost than i ran befor i fitted front mount) any ideas??? whats the best way to adjust boost? i use manual controler!!!

its a sti 555 1996
i no it used to have an specr controler fitted but for some reason this has been removed. all i have now is a manual boost controller fittet with just 1 pipe running from wastegate and the other from the boost source. both goto the boost controller.
