Does anyone know what these two wires do on the ignition, i believe that one is live 12v and the other i presume is an earth ??

Immobiliser?

 

I forgot to add that it's a classic MY96 type RA import.

It didnt come with an alarm or imobiliser (thanks ste)

Is it possible the ignition key sensor (the one that lighhts up when there is a key in the ignition)

On my bugeye when you unlock the doors the end of the ignition barrel is illuminated could be this?
