Perhaps its the new high powered 500lbs diesel.
When the Impreza saloon is dropped from the Subaru Portfollio this may be Subaru effort to entice them into buying a High Powered Diesel Legacy (esp USDM) Afterall some Impreza owners will never by a hatchback (New B5-STi model) no matter how well it goes
