Default What locking wheel nuts and mats do people recommend

getting an import so it has no mats or locking nuts,
read an article that said mcguard ultra were the muts nuts, but then somewhere on here i read that they stick out a mile (bodicia chariot style?)
anyone had any experience or know how much genuine scoob ones are?

also £70 for genuine mats is a joke, plus i read on here they are basically made from self dissolving carpet, has anyone got any good ones for a 06 that they are happy with the quality?

cheers

I can't help you with the matts, but I can help you on locking nuts. I had to get some new locking nuts as the ones on there where cr@p (put on when the new alloys where done as the previous owner no.2 did not give the locking wheel nut to owner no.3 so he had to take it to a wheel tyre place for them to undoo the nut and fit the new alloys owner 3 wanted). This locking wheel nut set was very soft. So i went to my local subaru garage, Quenbys in Baldock, Herts and got some McGard ones for £24.95. And they even fitted the for me

McGard - Halfords sell them. They do stick out a bit but to me it shows that they are there clearly.

As I visit building sites a lot I bought the Genuine Subaru rubber mats for about £25 ish. They are actually made by Cannon and are universal to the classic and newage - you just trim off different bits with a knife.

They are nice and thick and can be hosed down when the get really crappy.

I just bought some Wolfrace locks (old style McGard apparently) for £6.99 on eBay. Less than £10 delivered.

Oh, and the Subaru standard mats are woeful!! I had underfelt under mine to stop them damaging the carpet underneath as they compressed through. They were free though when I bought the car.

Just got a new car and it has Impreza logo'd mats, a nice soft carpet material, rubber stipples on the back and even has a mat that goes over the transmission tunnell at the rear (and that clips onto the left and right rear mats). No idea who makes them though
