V Power/MPG question

V Power/MPG question
Ok guys be real gentle with me, maybe this could be the daftest question ever posted..........................but, all the talk of V Power giving better performance and better MPG has got me thinking. What causes the better economy?? I think my car has been running on V Power now for a week or so, and i must admit i'm getting better economy. Now why is this? Is it because the fuel is burning more efficiantly, therefore the ecu isn't overfuelling as much now (running leaner) and giving more performance??
Maybe a blonde moment i know, but i thought i'd ask

I have noticed a better MPG out of my 06 STi since i been running v-power (and im sure i have been treating the car a little harder too). Not sure on the 'not over fuelling' as much though, since i am getting a few pops from the exhaust on overun now which i have never had before. (love the sound though!! )

If you were running Tesco99 previously then you would acheive better economy with V-Power. The Tesco fuel is a bio-ethanol fuel and basically contains less energy so the bigger bang (so to speak) created by a similar amount of fuel is what would give V-Power the slightly better economy.
Also noticed that switching across from Tesco to V-Power has reduced injector duty whilst also managing a slight increase in bhp and torque. Proof of more power, more economy.
Would be interesting to see if other "mappers" have had similar results...?
