Default How much for an 01 WRX (Modified)

Just noticed that somebody has an 05 model STi for sale on here and am thinking of going for it but obviously I need to sell mine first. (I'm really not too bothered if I don't sell as I was gonna look at changing mine next year at some stage)
Anybody offer an idea of how much I can expect to get for it??

The car is a one owner (ME) July 2001 WRX (Y reg) with 57k miles on it.Full Subaru main dealer service history and just had the 5 year service with new cam belt....

Couple of pics:

Spec of the car is as follows, which is kind of why I don't really know what it's worth:

Prodrive headlamps
WR Sport front sports grille & side vents
STi bonnet scoop
STi genuine rear spoiler
Sti mesh foglamp covers
18in Prodrive PFF replica wheels/Toyo T1-R tyres
Prodrive 330mm front brakes with Ferodo DS2500 pads
Prodrive springs/geometry
Front and rear strut braces
Whiteline front and rear ARB's (Together with the Whiteline heavy duty drop links)
Smoked reflectors and STi markers
STi mudflaps (Genuine)
Full STi8 interior (Front & Rear seats, door panels and carpet set fitted BRAND NEW 12 months ago)
STi8 steering wheel (Fitted BRAND NEW 12 months ago)
Blaupunkt upgraded hi-fi (Although I may put the standard head unit back in)
Lamco 3 gauge pack (Again this may come out if it can be transferred to a newer car)
Subaru WR300 gear ****
Prodrive quickshift
STi pink injectors
Walbro uprated fuel pump
STi intercooler water spray with 12 litre Spec C (Boot mounted) water tank
APS top mount intercooler
APS intercooler splitter
Uprated VF35 turbo with P18 ported Roger Clark Motorsport exhaust housing
Harvey Smith ported and wrapped headers and matched up-pipe
Full Scoobysport (H&S) turbo back decat exhaust
Uprated panel filter
Bob Rawle (Ecutek) Custom remap (Car produced 329.1bhp and 330 lb/ft torque at a Dyno Dynamics rolling road a few months back)

I estimate that I've spent over 10k on this car since I've owned it (And that's just on upgrading components etc etc)

Before the vultures jump in I will NOT be splitting the car down so don't even go there!!! (The car goes as a whole or I keep it)

I have a good selection of pics from the cars life here

Thanks for any comments or if anybody is interested in buying?

Cheers

Nick

Don't sell it Nick.

It's stunning and you won't get anywhere near what you ought to for it.

£9k according to the dreaded black book. Deducting £50 for every 4k miles over 50k

Personally I'd expect at least £10k for this scoob..........it's stunning and a credit to you, it must've taken alot of time and effort to reach this stage, not to mention the ££££££............!

Although I'm looking at buying a 53-plate WRX jap wagon, 12k on clock and a show car in stunning condition for about £10k I'm seriously tempted by this..!

The spec you have achieved will be wasted if it's sold to a "somebody" in stead of an enthusiast. Book value is hard to apply to such a nice example but must be taken into consideration and.........are you sure that you'd be content with an STi......?

pm me and we'll discuss it further as I'm very interested in this, very interested indeed.

I think that you'd be MAD to sell this sir............!

Si.

I thought about swapping my bugeye WRX for a blobeye STi recently but decided that after spending so much money on it over the past 18 months, it didn't make sense to hand it over to someone else, particularly as I wouldn't recoup anywhere near the amount of money I spent on the mods.

Also, I expect my car's quicker than a standard STi now so unless I was planning to mod the STi, I won't be gaining any performance (and your spec is way ahead of mine).

My advice: Keep what you have, she's a stunner and I imagine is fantastic to drive.

Thanks for the help guys!!

I know,I know about selling it that's why I made a spur of the moment decision earlier today to see what sort of money I could expect to get.I mentioned this 05 STi to my missus and she said that I'd need to shift mine first (Obviously) and to prove I was serious she said that I'd have to try and see what interest I get in mine.

I think I'd find it really difficult to part with it as the car has so much character now.I bought it brand new and standard and intended keeping it that way until the modifying bug bit.If I do replace it with an STi then I want one that somebody has took the hit on (Depreciation wise) and one that has some nice bits on it ideally as I really don't wanna start modifying another car lol

With the amount of money I've spent on this, I fully understand that I'll never get it all back and that's why I'd expect more than book price for it plus it really needs to go to a good home and not somebody that wouldn't appreciate it...

Decisions decisions...

P.S: For anyone interested I've also added bits to the spec that I forgot about (Namely) STi pink injectors, Harvey Smith up-pipe, Walbro uprated fuel pump, front and rear strut braces,APS intercooler splitter (I'm sure there's more too!!!)

Nick,

I have an 01 WRX with Ecutek3, decat centre pipe, Prodrive springs and Whiteline droplinks. It's pushing out 273 bhp.

However, my car has the standard TD04 turbo. I wondered how much lag you get with the VF35 ? Is the car still resonsive or do notice some lag now ?

good luck with the sale !

Evenin Andy,
Yeah there's a little more lag with the bigger turbo but a bigger hit once it comes on boost. Before we changed the turbo it was running a std TD04 with full decat and Ecutek custom remap and the car was quick then but now it's a different animal altogether.
Definitely worth upgrading the turbo if you have plans on keeping the car (You'll need injectors, fuel pump etc etc too though so it all adds up)

Cheers

Nick

So the power increase is worth the lag, from what you are saying.

cheers mate, and good luck.

Andy

PS (I've already spent £2000 since buying the car 6 weeks ago - timing belt plus all of the above)
